Shadows are everywhere. We all see them. We all know them. We feel them.

The Shadow of a writer is the most mysterious of all entities, one who shape shifts into many forms upon its changing will and need. These are powerful Shadows. They are the true reflections of the meaning Live Your Dreams While Dreaming Your Life … they can do this like no other.

Shadows are unique and are most precious to me. I live in a world of Shadows, a world in which only other Shadows in this place in time can understand. Shadows that can pass through barriers of social, psychological, psychic and sometimes even physical expectations.

Shadows can tease each other and taunt those outside their realm with their secret, lurking sinister existence. They can toy with the minds of dreamers and stir the imaginations of anyone with whom they come in contact. Shadows are creative entities with no limits. They can be sincere and they can be mischievous. They can be playfully deceiving and they can disappear in a flash of light and they can reappear when you least expect them. Shadows grab the attentions of those who are unsuspecting and toy with their observer, not allowing more than a mere silhouette of their presence to materialize. Yet, no matter how they choose to take form, each metamorphosis reflects their true state of being at the time.

Shadows can mingle and merge, they can entwine with other shadows in dark corners, becoming one, in silence … in their own world.

No one can escape a Shadow. You cannot outrun them and there is nowhere to hide. They are a separate type of being the likes of which must be accepted for there is no other choice. Shadows rule the world in their magnificence and dark splendor. They are Kings and Queens of dreams and imagination and the ground layers of the expansion of the mind… igniting the evolution of human thought and spirit.

Shadows can evoke many emotions; terror, intrigue, sadness, longing, mystery, excitement … they can be a sedative to some and to others they ignite a psychological passion of wonderment and union.

Shadows require observers, for without them, they are nothing more than ………shadows.

Without Shadows, the world would see its end.
