Active in the Dallas art community for 7 years, with interest in his work in Texas, England, New Zealand, Hungry, the Netherlands, Russia and New York, Kurtz has been featured in The Dallas Morning News, Dallas Voice, on the WB 33, and has contributed to the BBC. “I pride myself on seeing the real beauty behind what most would reject as freakish or disturbing while what is often praised as being of splendor, is the most hideous because of its banality and simplicity.” All of his paintings have been created during rituals, meditation and deep trance work. “I have spent years developing art that shows the world the real magnificence in the underground and the strength of the individual over the masses through the relentless drive for the development of the mind and body: Reason is my motivation and this work is the result of my spirit.” While using only one brush, a small fan, he mixes water soluble oils with red wine to produce a lasting and intense color effect that has drawn more and more clients every year. Born colorblind, he overcame his limits to become a painter.
